KIDS DAY OUT CLUB!
We’re merging Kids Day Out and our very popular Enrichment Clubs to create a wonderful afternoon full of learning and playing. If you’re looking to extend your child’s preschool day, look no further than our new and improved Kids Day Out Club (KDOC). Each afternoon we will immerse ourselves in one of our club themes: Book Club, STEM Learning Club, Art with Anything, Kids in the Kitchen, and Fun & Games. Each club description is below. Club theme days will rotate each week so that children who don’t stay everyday can participate in a variety of activities. Below is the schedule for each afternoon.
Kids Day Out Club is offered during the school year on days that Gentle Learning Preschool is in session. You can select as many days per week as you need. Current Gentle Learning Preschool students will be walked to the Kids Day Out Club room at dismissal, so there is no need to pick your child up in between class and Kids Day Out Club. You may pick up your child any time before 3:00pm.

Enrichment Club Themes
Gentle Learning Book Club
Book clubs aren’t just for grownups! We’ve thoughtfully selected wonderful preschool stories (new and classics) to read and discuss each afternoon. Then, we will create something special together.
STEM Learning Club
S is for Science. T is for Technology. E is for Engineering. M is for math. Our teachers will weave carefully planned activities into these afternoons that will foster a love of discovery, building, problem solving, critical thinking, observing, and science!
FUN & GAMES
It really is all Fun & Games in preschool. These afternoons will be full of movement. We’ll learn the basics and rules of popular little kids sports like t-ball, soccer and basketball. We’ll also play lots of cooperative big body movement games like we used to play in gym class!
Kids in the Kitchen
There is nothing more fun than helping children discover a love of cooking. Your preschooler will learn to safely chop, roll, grate, pat, mix, and spread. We will experience cooking using all 5 senses (especially taste) as we enjoy food that we make together. Our little chefs will even bring home the recipes from each day to recreate at home!

ART with Anything
Each afternoon we will make projects using everyday objects. Your little artist will explore the process of creating unique art in compelling and creative ways. We’ll use “out of the ordinary” art methods like spinning, blowing, smooshing, tapping, and brushing. Our materials will be varied as well to include buttons, cardboard, hole punches, tape, glue, magnets, spatulas, bike tires, bubble wrap, and more! There are not assigned projects per date - we want to keep our imaginations open to creativity and kids interests.
