Prepare Your Little One for Preschool!
Designed for little ones who aren't quite ready for traditional preschool, Stepping Stones offers a gentle introduction to the classroom experience. Children build confidence and independence as they explore, create, and connect with teachers and new friends in a smaller, nurturing setting.
Each day includes time for free play, small group exploration, and whole group fun like singing, movement, and story time. It's a joyful first step into learning – where curiosity grows, friendships form, and children discover how wonderful 'school' can be.
Stepping Stones is a year long program. When you register your child, they will have a spot in class from September 2026 through May 2027.
2026-2027 School Year Requirements: Children must be 2 by September 1, 2026 in order to enroll in the respective classes. Your child does not need to be potty-trained.

CLASSES

Class Placement: Exact class and teacher placement will be assigned in the beginning of August and is based on availability.
Required at Registration: To secure your child's preschool spot, the following is required: $60 non-refundable registration fee & proof of residency.
Proof of Residency: Please ensure that you have verified your residency (in-person) before attempting to register. Failure to do so may result in a nonresident monthly tuition rate for the school year. To verify your residency please bring the following documentation with you to the Lisle Recreation Center: Valid Photo ID and one of the following: Tax Bill, Lease, or Utility Bill. If you are a returning family, your residency has already been verified, so there is no need to do that again unless you have moved.
How To Register: Online registration is available through our online registration system. In-person registration is also available at the Lisle Recreation Center, 1925 Ohio Street in Lisle, Monday-Friday, 9:00am-5:00pm. You will need to create a new online family account or have a current online family account in order to register.
*Monthly Payment: Monthly tuition will be withdrawn from your checking account or charged to your credit card (VISA, Mastercard, or Discover) that is on file on the first business day of each month, September through May. Please ensure that you have a valid card on file in your online account.
