Mrs. Cheryl Tomko:

Welcome to 4 year preschool Monday through Friday. I will be working with Mrs. Tracy Witt. I am going on my 14th year at Gentle Learning Preschool. I have worked with 2 through 5 year olds at various times. You may see me aiding in some of our enrichment classes or leading the summer camp programs or even helping out in the Kids Day Out program. I am a big fan of the program as all 3 of my girls have attended the preschool in years past. My husband and I have lived in the Meadows subdivision in Lisle for 23 years. We moved here from Pittsburgh, where I worked for a group of pediatricians for 3 years and attended West Penn School of Nursing. I have found that I have a love for working with children and continued that passion here at Gentle Learning Preschool. I have also taught Religious Education at St. Margaret Mary for 6 years as well as worked at Lisle schools on the HSO board for many years. I am so lucky to have the opportunity to work in our new facility. It enables us to do new and wonderful things. I am looking forward to a year of learning, laughing and growing with your children.

Mrs. Lisa Loveless:

This is my 11th year as a teacher’s aide for Gentle Learning Preschool. I have worked with children ages 3-6 in all of the classrooms. Occasionally I will work in Kids Day Out or with a seasonal enrichment class. In the summer, I assist in Kiddie Kamp. I also work one Friday a month at Lisle Jr. High with the After Hours program. I have lived in Lisle for 24 years with my husband and 4 children. Prior to that I lived in Bradenton, Florida where I worked part time as a nanny and attended Manatee Community College. I am looking forward to a great year seeing some old faces, as well as meeting some new ones.

Mrs. Sue French:

I'm excited to begin my 15th year at the Gentle Learning Preschool. In addition to aiding in the preschool, you will also see me teaching many of the enrichment classes. My summers are kept busy being the instructor for Kiddie Kamp. My education includes a Bachelor's degree from DePaul University in Marketing and Management and a Master's degree from Loyola in Industrial Relations. Before coming to work for the preschool, I supervised the nursery at Central Park Athletic Club where I scheduled and supervised staff as well as children's activities and took care of children from infancy through age twelve. I live in Lisle with my husband and two children, who are graduates of the preschool. I spend much of my spare time volunteering at the high school for a variety of marching band activities. I look forward to getting to know you and your children and to a year filled with fun activities and many exciting new learning experiences.

Mrs. Pam Berryman:

This is my third year working as an aide at Gentle Learning Preschool. I have a background in Human Resources and Training, and although I enjoyed my time in the corporate world, I feel as though I have found a home at Gentle Learning Preschool. I really enjoy getting to know the children and being a part of their learning and discovery process. It has been great to interact with the families throughout the school year, and to be part of an amazing team of teachers and staff. In my free time I enjoy spending time with my family, as well as going out with friends. I live in Naperville with my husband and three children, ages 15, 13, and 11. I am looking forward to an exciting school year!

Mrs. Jennifer Manieson

What a privilege to be starting my first year at Gentle Learning Preschool in the three-year-old class! Though my educational background is primarily in foreign languages (BA in Spanish & French), I have worked with young children my entire life through church ministries and tutoring. I was also a substitute for the preschool staff last year. I am a huge advocate of this program as all three of my children have attended the preschool and have greatly benefited from it. I look forward to getting to know you and your child and to a wonderful year of fun and learning!

Stepping Stones Aide, Mrs. Denise Llewellyn:

This is my fifth year of working with our two-year-olds in the Stepping Stones program. It’s a fun age, and it’s my privilege to watch them grow and help them develop the skills they’ll need in preschool. I have worked with elementary school-aged children for the last nine years, serving as the director of the Park District’s Before School Program. My background also includes working with children through marketing and product development positions in the toy industry. I live in Downers Grove with my husband and two sons, ages 12 and 9.
